Dotz Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain how Dotz works and the rules for using it. Dotz is a game platform owned and operated by TalkLife Ltd (“TalkLife”, “we”, or “us”). By using Dotz, you agree to follow these Terms, which apply whenever you play or use the platform.

1. About Dotz

Dotz is a standalone game platform owned by TalkLife.

 

You can access Dotz:

 

• As a guest,

• By creating a Dotz account, or

• By logging in using Google, Apple, or your other accounts on platforms also owned and operated by us (e.g TalkLife, or TalkCampus).
   

Dotz does not involve real-money gambling or cash prizes unless clearly stated otherwise.
 

2. Who Can Use Dotz

If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

 

You may only use Dotz if:

 

• You are allowed to use apps and online services in your country, and

• You follow these Terms and any rules shown in the app.

Using Dotz contrary to our Terms or applicable law is not permitted, and TalkLife shall not be responsible for any consequences arising from such use.

3. Accounts and Access

You may use Dotz in different ways:

 

• As a guest,

• By creating a Dotz account using an email and password,

• By logging in using Google or Apple, or

• By logging in using an existing TalkLife or TalkCampus account.
   

TalkLife is not responsible for the availability, security, or operation of third-party login services (including Google or Apple) or for any acts or omissions of those providers.

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens when your account is used.

 

4. Using Dotz

You agree to use Dotz in a safe and respectful way. You must not:

 

• Attempt to damage, disrupt or interfere with this service or the app,

• Cheat, exploit bugs or vulnerabilities, or otherwise interfere with gameplay,

• Use bots, scripts or other automated tools,

• Use Dotz to to bully, harass, threaten or harm others,

• Attempt to access any part of the system that you are not authorised to use,

• Infringe, misappropriate or otherwise violate TalkLife’s intellectual property rights,

• Commercially exploit Dotz or use it for any unauthorised purposes, or

• Engage in any activity that is unlawful, harmful or could reasonably be expected to damage TalkLife, its services, or its reputation.
   

We may limit or remove access if these rules are broken.

5. Messaging and Communication

Messaging in Dotz depends on how you access the platform:

 

• If you log in via TalkLife or TalkCampus, you may be able to message other Dotz players who are using the same platform. These messages are governed by the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policies of TalkLife or TalkCampus.

• If you access Dotz in any other way, direct messaging is not available.
   

Dotz does not provide its own standalone messaging system.
 

6. Gameplay and Virtual Items

Dotz may include points, progress, or other in-game features. These:

 

• Have no real-world money value,

• Cannot be exchanged for cash, and

• May change or be removed over time.
   

We may update or adjust gameplay to improve the experience.

 

7. Our Content & Intellectual Property

All games, designs, content, and intellectual properties in Dotz belong to TalkLife or are licensed to us. You may use Dotz for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, sell, or reuse Dotz content without permission.
 

For the purposes of these Terms, “Intellectual Property Rights” means all intellectual property rights, whether registered or unregistered, including copyrights, trademarks, logos, designs, software, artwork, graphics, text, game mechanics, user interfaces, and any related proprietary rights.
 

All games, features, designs, software, and any other content and Intellectual Property Rights made available through Dotz (together, the “Content”) are owned by TalkLife Ltd or licensed to us. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TalkLife grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Dotz and the Content solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
 

You must not copy,reverse engineer, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of Dotz or its Content.
 

Except for the limited licence expressly granted above, no rights in or to Dotz or the Content are transferred to you, and all rights are reserved by TalkLife.

8. Changes and Availability

We may:

 

• Update Dotz,

• Change or remove features, 

• Carry out planned or unplanned maintenance, or

• Pause or stop all or parts of the platform at any time and without incurring any liability to you.

 

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of planned maintenance that may affect availability. Unplanned maintenance or outages may occur without notice.

 

Dotz is provided “as available” and we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Ending Access

You may stop using Dotz at any time. 

 

We may suspend or remove access to Dotz, if:

 

• You breach these Terms or any applicable rules or law,

• Your use of Dotz causes, or is reasonably likely to cause harm, risk or disruption to others,TalkLife or the platform, or

• We are required to do so by law, regulation or a lawful request from a relevant authority.
   

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of suspension or termination. However, we may take immediate action where this is necessary to protect users, the platform, or comply with legal obligations.
 

Termination or suspension of access does not affect any rights or obligations that are intended to survive under these Terms.

 

10. Privacy

There is limited personally identifiable information that we collect from you. How we collect and use data is explained in the Dotz Privacy Policy. Because Dotz is owned by TalkLife, the TalkLife Privacy Policy may also apply in certain situations.

11. Further Legalities

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TalkLife Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Dotz. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

 

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

 

TalkLife Ltd may update or amend these Terms from time to time at its discretion. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Where changes are material, we will also notify you by prominently posting notice of the changes on our site and/or our app and, where appropriate, notifying you by email. Your continued use of Dotz after any updates take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

 

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
